Spam Filters Sail Through Virus Bulletin Test

Virus Bulletin's latest spam test showed that all 16 products tested passed the test and earned the VB certification, V3.co.uk reports.

Spam filters were put up against more than 250,000 legitimate and spam e-mails and were graded on the ability to block spam messages and avoid "false positives." The best performers included Symantec's Brightmail, Microsoft's Forefront and Sophos' Email Appliance.

Microsoft and Symantec also did well in Virus Bulletin's January test. Only Kaspersky performed poorly.
