China Shuts Down Hacker Training Site

China's state-run Xinhua news agency has reported that three people have been arrested on suspicion of selling hacking tools online.

According to The Wall Street Journal, their business was known as Black Hawk Safety Net. It operated through the now-defunct Web site 3800cc.com where user fees paid by a portion of its 180,000 members helped it to generate around $1 million in income.

Reuters reports that the Web site was shut down last November. There is no word on why the news is being released now. But it could have something to do with the bad press China is getting over the recent Google attacks.  China has denied having any involvement.
