3Com Boasts a Trio of TippingPoint Security Products

Enterprise Networking Planet reports that 3Com is rolling out a trio of new products from its TippingPoint security division.

In an effort to create a secure virtualization framework, the company is offering the TippingPoint vController. which:

lets users create security policies for their VMware ESX server traffic and then tunnel the traffic to a physical TippingPoint Intrusion Prevention System for inspection.

3Com is also announcing the 1500S SSL Appliance and the H3C S9500E modular switch chassis, which can allow multiple physical switches to be virtualized across a LAN.
